Sarah Green - FA Tesco Skills Team Leader

1. What is your job/role in football?

FA Tesco Skills Team Leader – Leicestershire & Rutland

2. How and when did you first get into football?

I first became involved in coaching at 16 when I started coaching my local primary school football team

3. What do you enjoy most and least about what you do?

I could write a book about what I enjoy most. I feel so privileged to work for The FA and be able to be around some of the best coaches in the country. I don’t always enjoy the travelling but that is about as bad as it gets, I love my job.

 4. If you could change one thing in football what would it be?

I would love to find a way to be able to provide funding to all Charter Standard clubs to help them pay for their coaches to do coach education courses.

5. Who do you respect most in football and why?

Stuart Pearce is my football hero! He is a Nottingham Forest legend. I have met him a few times through work and the passion he had whilst playing is still evident in his coaching role with The FA. He is passionate about restoring the pride to play for England with our youth players.
