When/where do they train? When do they play matches? Are they in a league?
All the practicalities! It is important that your child can play a full role in the sport they love so do make sure you know when everything happens and you can get them there.
The league that they are in will proably have the biggest impact. The majority of football will see games played at home and away; these away games could involve travelling considerable distances so be prepared! Mini-football is often played in a single location where all the teams converge to play their matches-all much simpler (although car parking can sometimes be a nightmare!).
Training and home matches are likely to be in the same venue. The only change in these arrangements might centre on where winter training takes place. Many clubs will be fortunate to have a local school gym that can be used, with others perhaps having to use a local sports centre that might be futher afield.
In most team situations it is common to find that the parents will divide up the responsibility for getting the kids to where they need to be.
